ABOUT

"I figure if a girl wants to be a legend, she should just go ahead and be one."

Calamity Jane

Hey There

My name is Alexa Johnson and I'm a Colorado native, now currently living north of Silverthorne. I can credit growing up in the Rocky Mountains as the reason I fell in love with photography; a childhood of adventure while hiking, hunting, and horseback riding exposed me to extraordinary places and wildlife. It was -and continues to be- this way of life and a desire to share the beauty around me which inspired my love for capturing the world through my camera lens.

Photography is not a job, but a passion. I focus on capturing a fleeting instant that may never come again. By maintaining the raw beauty and emotion of my photos, I endeavor to trigger all the senses and make you feel as though you were present to experience a moment that has come and gone. Photography is the art of storytelling through pictures and it is that principle which drives my style.

To share the things I've seen and witness every day, I created Broken Antler Photography in 2016. Through my business, I specialize in nature prints as well as portrait and event photography. From Summit County to the Southern Hemisphere, I strive to tell a story and provide authenticity in every image.

When I'm not taking pictures, I work in western event production - organizing, marketing, and producing rodeos, concerts, and conferences across the country. My job allows me the ability to travel and do what I love while also giving me the flexibility to spend time taking photos and sharing them with you.

Thanks for stopping by to see my little piece of the world.
